Birthday: July 10
I grew up at a small studio in my hometown training in ballet, modern and jazz, but ballet has always been my first love. I attended Mercyhurst University and graduated with my BA in Dance, and have spent the last nine years dancing professionally (and teaching!) I’m currently a resident dancer with Texture Contemporary Ballet here in Pittsburgh.
My goal as a teacher is to create an environment where students feel challenged but supported as they build a strong ballet foundation. Ballet requires repetition, attention to detail, and persistence, and I love to help students find an appreciation for the process of becoming a strong dancer. Having fun and making mistakes along the way are encouraged!
My favorite book is the Harry Potter series. I love dogs and one of my favorite foods is pizza!
Don’t waste time comparing yourself to others; put that energy into yourself. Also, be kind to yourself and the dancers around you- it matters!
